Travel: A beautiful small island, Gili Trawangan

A tavalyi Indonéz körútról még jó sok postnyi képem marad, amiket még meg szeretnék osztani veletek.

Miután pár napot Balin töltöttünk, tovább utaztunk hajóval egy kis szigetre Gili Trawangan-ra, amely Lombok mellett található. Indonézia egy tektonikai törésvonal mentén húzódik, így az egyik érdekessége a szigeteknek, hogy mindegyiken találhatóak vulkánok. És ráadásul még aktívan működnek is. A magasba emelkedő kúpok különlegessé teszik a tájat. Ilyenkor mindig rájövök, hogy miért is volt a kedvenc tantárgyam a természetföldrajz… Gili Trawangan-nak egy olyan kis sziget, amelyen a turistákon kívül alig laki rajta pár helyi, és motorhajtású járműveket se látni az utakon… Igazi földi paradicsom… gyönyörű a tengerpart és kristálytiszta a víz, ideális a búvárkodásra. Nagyon olcsó volt minden: bungalóban laktunk pár ezer forintért, és kis tengerparti éttermekben ettünk száz forintokért…. Azt hiszem, ez az a hely, ahova mindig vissza fogok vágyni….

After spending some days on Bali, we travelled by boat to a little island next to Lombok, its name is Gili Trawangan. Indonesia is situated at the meeting point of several tectonic plates, therefore there are volcanoes on each of the islands. Moreover, they are still active. The high volcano peaks make the scenery special. If I see something like that I always remember why Physical Geography was my favourite subject... Gili Trawangan is a little island where only a few locals live along with the tourists visiting the place and you can barely see any motor vehicles... An earthly paradise indeed... wonderful seacoast and crystal clear water, ideal for diving. Everything was very cheap: we stayed in a bungalow for a couple of thousand forints, and we ate in little coastal restaurants for a few hundred forints... I think it is the place where I will always want to go back....
